Professional - New Media Writing Responsibilities: Teach courses including Technical Writing, Workplace Writing, Computers and Writing, Professional Writing: World Wide Web, and composition and will contribute to the development of the Department's Professional and Media Writing program with courses in print and digital media writing. There is a four-course teaching load per semester. Requirements: A PhD in English, rhetoric, technical communications, or related field at the time of appointment. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program are encouraged to apply, but they should make clear their progress toward completion. Experience teaching undergraduates technical writing. Demonstrate potential for scholarly activities and meeting student needs. Experience teaching technical writing, workplace writing, and new media writing. Adeptness in using technology innovatively in teaching. Related professional experience in corporate, governmental, non-profit, and/or academic spheres.
